Position opening for Associate Editor at Dancecult- Extended Call

Dancecult is seeking the assistance of an Associate Editor whose main objectives will be to assist the Managing Editor.

This is an opportunity to join an esteemed, open-source peer-reviewed journal with a hands on role to build your experience and become involved with a passionate team dedicated to the research of electronic music and dance culture.

The AE will work closely with the Managing Editor, notably copyediting content in compliance with journal’s style guide. 

 

The successful candidate will join the Dancecult Editorial Board and will be responsible for assisting the production of Dancecult (published once per year in mid November). The AE is expected to perform this work in Sep-Nov each year, commencing this year.

 

This is a volunteer position.

Responsibilities:
- copyediting (grammar and proofreading, formatting, flow of arguments, and style) in agreement with the in-house style guide.
- clear communication and delivering work to deadlines - experience in research writing.

Desirable:
- familiarity with the Dancecult Style Guide.
