Author Biography

Kaitlyne Motl is a Ph.D. candidate in the Sociology Department at the University of Kentucky. Her research explores intersectional inequalities of race, class, gender and sexuality as they manifest in hybridized jam band/EDM festival scenes. Specifically, her work focuses on women’s unique experiences of physical, social and sexual threat within “jamtronica” festival participation.
