Toby Young, University of Oxford, United Kingdom

Toby Young is the Gianturco Junior Research Fellow at Linacre College, Oxford. Current research projects include Modern Beauty, which looks at existing notions of beauty in the context of EDM, and Transforming the Operatic Voice, which explores the relationship between singing styles in popular music and opera. Toby is also a songwriter and composer, who has collaborated numerous artists including Chase & Status, Duran Duran, The Rolling Stones, Jacob Banks, MOKO, Raleigh Ritchie and The Other Tribe.
