Author Biography

Eric Turner, University of New Mexico

I am a 2nd year PhD student at the University of New Mexico. My main research interests include social movements (especially in Italy), Latin American and European political systems. I am new to the academic aspect of electronic music subculture however not to the raving subcultures, having been greatly exposed to the psy trance, dubstep, drum n bass and hard trance scenes during my time living in Switzerland, England, Italy, Massachusetts and New Mexico. I would like to work towards sharing my experiences with the academic community as well as sharing my academic expertise with the raving community.
